Colorado Student Ski Passes

For the most part, student ski passes do not exist in the state of Colorado. Instead, Colorado ski resorts sell ski passes by age. Ski pass age groups include: child, teen, young adult, adult, and senior. Each ski resort individually determines the age brackets for pass sales.

Discount Colorado ski passes are best purchased between April and Labor Day.

The student ski passes that do exist are college student passes, the 5th Grade Passport, and the 6th Grade Passport. If you need a college student pass, it's best to purchase it in September.

5th and 6th Grade Passports applications are usually available from Colorado Ski Country USA in September. The application is free and you don't have to be a resident of Colorado. Applications must be done online and are not available for pickup. Here's how to apply.

Some of the best ski pass deals in Colorado for children, teens, and young adults (ages 6-22) include Loveland Ski Area, the Teen Summit Value Pass, the Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus College Pass, and the Aspen Classic College & Child/Youth Passes.

Most Colorado ski resorts sell early season discount ski season passes and discount college passes to full time registered four year college students. Check for eligibility and pass sale deadlines.

Time to Buy your Epic Pass, Epic 7 Day Pass, Epic Local Pass, Summit Value Pass

If you want the real lift ticket deal to a Vail Resorts ski resort, now is the time to buy. These will probably be offered through sometime in November but the price is going to start rising very soon. When Colorado ski pass prices start rising is a mystery we'd all love to know.

The Epic Pass allows unlimited ski and riding (but not skibiking) at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Heavenly, and Northstar-at-Tahoe. The adult pass (19-64) is currently $649.

The Epic 7 Day Pass (ages 13+) is currently $499 and is good for 7 days at the same ski resorts as the Epic Pass.

The Epic Local Pass is a great value at $499 but do not expect to use it during any holiday period. It has extensive restrictions and is blacked out from useage during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, President's Weekend, and Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend.

The Adult Summit Value Pass offers unlimited access to Keystone and A-Basin with restricted access to Breckenridge. It is not valid at Breck during any holiday period. The pass is only $409 for adults.

If you are looking for a student ski pass to Vail - keep looking. You won't find one. Vail Resorts does offer Teen and Child Passes.

Explore the details for all of Vail Resorts ski season passes at http://www.snow.com/planavacation/season-pass-explorer.aspx

All the passes are available for purchase online - even first time buyers.

Skibiking is only allowed at Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. Adaptive skibikers can ride with a Vail Resorts issued permit.
