Vail Resorts left Colorado Ski Country USA several years ago and dropped out of its wildly popular Colorado 5th Grade Passport program. That's not to say Vail left Colorado 5th Graders out in the cold.
To replace its involvement in the 5th Grade Passport program, Vail introduced the School of Shred pass. 5th and 6th Graders in Colorado can still get four free days of skiing and snowboarding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, A-Basin. First-timers can still get a free ski lesson and equipment rental in January 2012.
To get the Vail School of Shred Pass participants must register by November 6, 2011 at a Colorado Front Range sales pass event, location, or special event. Registration is not available by internet or telephone. Be sure to bring your 5th or 6th Grade report card as proof of eligibility.
