Aspen ski lift tickets available at Colorado grocery stores?

Up until the mid-1990's one could purchase discounted lift tickets for Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands in Colorado grocery stores.

Today, with the advent of the Aspen Classic Pass, this is no longer true. Discount lift tickets to the four Aspen Skiing Company mountains are no longer available for purchase at King Soopers, Safeway, Albertson's, City Market, Costco, or any other supermarket.

If you want to get discounted lift tickets today, purchase an Aspen Classic Pass before the ski season starts or purchase them along with your lodging package. Most require advance purchase to get a discounted price.

To get free lift tickets to Aspen, obtain employment at a non-Vail Resorts ski resort in Colorado. Employees can get free non-transferable Real Deal coupons and their spouses and dependents can get coupons for 50% off.
